Music Therapy
Music therapy provides a communication tool to those who find it difficult to express themselves in words. Learning to play many different instruments is therapeutic and educational, giving each student an opportunity for self-expression.
Therapeutic Garden
This plant-dominated environment is designed to facilitate interaction with the healing elements of nature. The horticultural therapists on staff guide students to grow real crops and cultivate a beautiful garden.
Psychodrama
Drama enables expression without words or intervention, providing deep emotional healing. Using puppets and different characters, the therapist, together with the student, creates a story or play that connects the child’s reality to the world.
Art Club
Diverse art activities offer students a canvas for self-expression and creative exploration. Inspiration and technical instruction in a variety of media give students confidence, and the tactile, hands-on experience is soothing & therapeutic.
Ceramics Center
Tactile ceramics help children explore with touch, which is an uplifting experience for many with disabilities. Children learn to mix, knead, roll out, imprint, and paint. The end result? Beautiful Judaica items, which we feature in our art exhibit.
